![]() ![]() I plan for a full update with the release of the final dungeon. But if you run into a problem, read this over and it should help you figure it out.ĮDIT: This guide is not updated for the Houndmaster or Cove patches, but only covers the game as it was during the first month or two of Early Access. If this guide seems too long, don't freak out there's a lot to be said for just diving into this game, playing it blind, and letting the chaos happen. Because this guide may need to change, I'm not going to include a lot of fancy videos - it's a lot easier to edit text! It won't cover the late game (levels 4-6) because the game is still in Early Access and, while the level 1-3 content seems mostly finished, right now the level 4-6 content doesn't, so anything I write could still get significantly changed, so there's not much point in going into too much depth. Read it and you'll understand how to keep and build a viable group of adventurers, get past all the early pitfalls, and understand the basic game systems. It started as a collection of basic tips and strategies, but at this point it's a fairly complete guide to the early game (levels 1-3 or so), and should answer most of your questions, perhaps even ones you didn't know you had. Do be wary as this does stress out the other members by a small amount. This is an in-depth guide to help people learn to master Darkest Dungeon. As for the Occultist, he can use Unspeakable Commune, preventing an ambush. Try to have them selected, and not the generic shared abilities. However, all of the Man-At-Arms' unique camping skills are amazing. Not really needed, but I do enjoy the Bounty Hunter's camping skill Scout Ahead, which increases the chances of scouting. Bolster is nice for dodging, and Retribution for riposte, aka a counter attack. Man-At-Arms should use Guard on the Bounty Hunter and thus become the tank of the team. He can also kill human enemies with Collect Bounty. His damage debuff, Weakening Curse, is also quite handy.īounty Hunter can be handy by using Flashbang and Uppercut for stunning. The Occultist can use Abyssal Artillery and Sacrafical Stab to do some mean damage on Eldritch. ![]() They can clear the markings that the mushrooms like to put on your team as well with Rallying Flare. Your Arbalest should be able to get rid of those pesky mushrooms that like to stay in the back row. Best Combination: Arbalest, Occultist, Bounty Hunter, Man-At-Arms ![]()
